Annual Genesis One dinner

Last night’s annual G-1 dinner was indeed an incredible event! It was an unforgettable feast, from the 76 pizzas and 240 bone-in wings to the sweets and drinks. But beyond the food, what made the night special was the deep sense of connection and community.

Peter, Lew, Jackie, the Chaplain, and I had the privilege of sitting at the “VIP” table, with a perfect view of all the guys. Witnessing the heartfelt moments was such a blessing, especially when Patrick passed the microphone to the guys. They shared powerful words about G-1 as brothers, which was a highlight of the evening for us at the table.

Shane and John Kluth welcomed everyone with such warmth, and there was a beautiful tribute to Daniel and Phillip, honoring their legacy as previous G-1 leaders. Penny spoke a message of hope to those “out,” and the Chaplain reflected on the transformation of JLCC over the past four years—how a spark of revival is now lighting up the lives of those in and around JLCC.

Jackie York began the evening with prayer, setting the tone for the night, and Lew York closed us out in prayer, leaving us with a sense of peace and purpose. The presence of God was felt so strongly throughout the evening—it was truly moving.

Huge thanks to the G-1 leadership team for all their hard work in making the night possible. Their dedication and effort brought this event to life, and it’s clear that God’s energy was at the center of it all. What an amazing night, full of hope, revival, and connection!
